Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Hopefully summer days despite pandemic are treating you well and you are connecting with family and friends following safety guidelines. It is a new way of life that makes the world upside down for everyone individually. What a challenge! Do we choose this path in our lives? No. As we have experienced many other challenges we can get through this one together.
In three weeks we will start celebrating First Communions that were delayed because of Covid-19. We will see four children at every Mass throughout the entire year to partake with us in the Eucharistic table. What a joy it will be to see their smiling faces receiving the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time in their lives.
In the Gospel reading this Sunday (Matthew 16:13-20) Jesus asks us: “Who do you say that I am?” Hearing about him from others provides some knowledge about Him. But the most important thing is to get to know Him personally. Our answer will come to each of us from our life experience, searching, prayer, studying, and service to others.
May the Lord Jesus bless you and your loved ones,
