From the Diocese of Raleigh:

The historic Dedication of Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral is this week! It’s hard to believe that we have come so far in building a new mother church for the Diocese of Raleigh; a place where people for hundreds of years will gather to give praise to God.

While the Dedication Mass is invitation only, we desire that the live stream of the Mass is available to everybody.

First, the day of the Dedication, you can access the live stream through the Diocese of Raleigh YouTube Channel: A reminder about this will be sent closer to the Dedication.

Second, you might consider gathering friends and family for a party, to celebrate the new cathedral and watch the Dedication Mass together. Watching it live, step-by-step, could be a great way to educate non-Catholic friends about what we believe and why we believe it! For Catholics, this is obviously an opportunity for celebration and unity.

Don’t forget!

Each of our eight deaneries (regions within the diocese) will host a special Mass at the newly dedicated cathedral. Below is a list of the Mass times associated with each of our deaneries.
