Spanish Mass celebrating the Cristero
Mexican Martyrs, 7:00 pm The relics of the 13 Mexican
Cristero Martyrs will be at St. Mary’s and the Wilmington Hispanic Catholic
community will have a special Mass in honor of the martyrs.
Included in the relics will be those of the very popular Saint Toribio Romo
González, the patron saint of immigrants. St. Toribio is believed to appear
to immigrants who travel from Mexico to the United States and guides them
safely through the desert.
Padre Bob will celebrate the Mass, and Padre Leon from Sacred Heart in
Whiteville will preach. |
