The Reverend James M. Labosky
Tenth Pastor of St. Mary
2000 – 2002
He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh in 1979.
Fr. Labosky followed Fr. Hadden as pastor of St. Mary parish. This was quite a feat, for Fr. Hadden had been pastor of the St. Mary parish for 15 years. After serving for two years as pastor, Fr. Labosky left the parish to take on other responsibilities and was followed by Fr. John Gillespie.
In the Diocese of Raleigh, in addition to serving as pastor of St. Mary parish, Fr. Labosky served in parishes in Henderson, Raleigh, Wilson, Pinehurst, and Chapel Hill.
Fr. Labosky has served in a wide variety of roles as a priest. For example, he was the Executive Director of the Office on Aging in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, a staff chaplain at the V.A. Medical Center in Northport, New York, and Health Care Minister in Moore County, North Carolina.
Fr. Labosky enjoys reading, cooking, teaching, and being a priest. One of his many diocesan roles is being the Director of the Office of the Continuing Education and Formation of Priests of the Diocese of Raleigh.
