My Dear Friends,
Today Catholic Christians celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent. If you have an Advent wreath, you should light the rose candle and 2 violet candles. This is one of the two Sundays of the Church Year when the priest may wear rose-colored vestments.

On this day, Paul reminds us to “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18).

Because Christmas falls on a Monday this year, we will only have 3 Masses to celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Those Masses will be: Saturday, December 23 at 5:30 in English and 7 p.m. in Spanish, and on Sunday, December 24 at 8 a.m. in English.

Please see the bulletin for the Christmas Mass schedule. You’ll see that we have 7 Christmas Masses on Christmas Eve and 1 on Christmas morning. All are in English except for the 7 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve which is in Spanish.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
