My Dear Friends,
This weekend, Catholic Christians celebrate the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today we read something about the nobility of the single state, a state of life often neglected by church leaders. St. Paul says, “Brothers and Sisters: I should like you to be free of anxieties. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord. But a married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and he is divided. An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit. A married woman, on the other hand, is anxious about the things of the world, how she may please her husband” (1 Corinthians 7: 32-34).

This is Catholic Schools Week in the United States, a time to give special thanks to all of our dedicated teachers, staff, students, and parents who make a Catholic education possible. Students who attend Catholic schools have a much higher rate of graduation than students from public schools, and a much greater chance of becoming university graduates. If you would like to explore St. Mary Catholic School, we would love to show you around and see how we can make your dreams of a Catholic education a reality!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
