My Dear Friends,
Today Catholic Christians celebrate the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time.  On this day, we read in the Gospel of Matthew Jesus telling his disciples, “And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because the little one is a disciple – amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward” (Matthew 10: 28-29).

This Tuesday, Americans celebrate Independence Day, the birth of our nation in 1776.  This is a great time to reflect on our nation – our triumphs, our challenges, and how we can help make it a better place for all people.

Finally, this Thursday, July 6th, we will have our Summer Anointing Mass at 7 p.m.  If you are ill in mind, body, and/or spirit, and have been baptized, you may celebrate this beautiful sacrament.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

-           Father Bob
