My Dear Friends,
Today, Catholic Christians celebrate the Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary time.  In today’s reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Romans, we read, “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8: 28).  Often, we find ourselves in the valleys of our life journeys, experiencing doubt or trouble.  We seem to be walking in perpetual shadows or fogs, and we think the sunshine will never find us again. But today we are reassured that even in the dark valleys of our lives, God is with us, and all of these sorrows have some purpose.  In the end, they will work out for the good.

Today we welcome Dr. Margarita Nuñez from Mission Doctors Associaation.

Dr. Nuñez is here as part of the Missionary Cooperation Plan in which we participate each year.  This plan is part of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith and is designed to help support those on the front lines of missionary work throughout the world.  Welcome Dr. Nuñez!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

–           Father Bob
