My Dear Friends,
Today we celebrate the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time. On this day, we hear the parable of the mustard seed in the Gospel of Mark (4: 31-32).
Just as the tiny mustard seed can produce a tree big enough for the birds of the air to make their nests, we, too, should grow and flourish with the gifts God has given us. Then, when the gifts have been developed, we should then share them – and share them abundantly – with others. That is how we contribute to the building of the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Today, in the United States, we celebrate Father’s Day, a day set aside to honor our fathers.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads of community! The parent vocation requires a wide variety of complex life skills and virtues, and it takes a special kind of person to live this vocation faithfully and gracefully!

Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
