pastor1My Dear Friends,

This weekend, we celebrate the Feast of the Body & Blood of Christ, formerly known as Corpus Christi. This feast reminds us to thank Jesus for giving us the gift of himself in the consecrated elements of bread and wine. Many people in the world rarely have Eucharist or Holy Communion because they have no priests. Thus, this feast also is a great reminder for us to pray for vocations to the priesthood so that we can continue to be a Eucharistic-centered faith.

Congratulations to all of our St. Mary graduates, especially those graduating from St. Mary Catholic School! Our graduation Mass will be this Thursday at 8:30 a.m., and there will not be a 7:30 a.m. Mass. Graduation will be on Thursday evening.

Our summer schedule for Friday Masses will begin this week. That means our Friday Masses will be at 7:30 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m.

The new assignments have come out from the Diocese of Raleigh. Please keep the priests who will have new assignments in your prayers so that they do a good job.

And finally, we welcome Padre Gerardo who will be arriving Monday (June 3rd) and staying with us until October 31st! We hope his stay with us will be an incredibly fruitful experience in his life, and that it will benefit his priesthood and those he serves for many years to come!

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father Bob
