My Dear Friends,
This weekend, Catholic Christians celebrate the Third Sunday of Lent.
On this weekend, we hear the story of the story of Jesus meeting a Samaritan woman at a well (John 4: 5-42). After told her about being able to give her “living water,” she wondered if he was the messiah. Soon, she told others who came to the well to meet Jesus, and many came to believe he was, indeed, the messiah.

This week, the Cape Fear Deanery hosts 6 Lenten Reconciliation Services.

On Tuesday, March 21, there are services at St. Brendan the Navigator in Shallotte at 11 a.m., Sacred Heart in Southport at 7 p.m., and at St. Stanislaus in Castle Hayne at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, March 22, there will be 7 p.m. services at All Saints in Hampstead and Our Lady of the Snows in Elizabethtown. And on Thursday March 23 at 8 p.m., there is a service at UNCW.

This coming Saturday, we are very pleased to welcome everyone to our annual One Cup of Tea celebration in the Upper Room 1871. Funds raised go to help the various health care projects of our sister parish in Honduras including Clínica Santa María in Reitoca.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
