My Dear Friends,
Today we celebrate the Feast of the Pentecost, birthday of the Catholic Church in particular and Christianity in general. Pentecost marks the end of the Easter Season.
The Acts of the Apostles describes this special event in this way: “When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim” (Acts 2: 1-4).

This weekend, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Aarón Enrrique Mejía-Fuñez from Clínica Santa María in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras! Aaron will give an update on our sister parish’s health care projects at all 6 weekend Masses, and we will have a second collection that will go directly to assisting the health care projects of our sister parish.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
