My Dear Friends,
Today Catholic Christians celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord.  Before he ascended into heaven, he gave his disciples a new commandment.  Specifically, he told them to be missionaries by saying, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Matthew 28: 19-20).

On Saturday, June 3rd, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the 5:30 p.m. Mass for some adults of our parish.  This is a perfect day to celebrate the sacrament as it is the Feast of Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit came down and filled the early disciples with zeal, courage, joy, wisdom, and many other gifts.

Drs. Marco Tulio and Aaron give many thanks to all of our parishioners who made them feel so welcome this past weekend!  They also thank you for supporting the work they are doing in our sister parish for the health care needs of the parishioners.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

–  Father Bob
