In today’s reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians (4: 6-9), we learn something about attaining peace or serenity. Paul tells us: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on dong what you have learned and received and herd and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

Please help me welcome Fr. Renán Carrillo-López to our parish community. Padre Renán is the vicario (parochial vicar) of our sister parish of San Francisco de Asís in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras. He was recently ordained priest of the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa. This is Fr. Renán’s first visit to the United States and his first time flying on a plane. He does not speak English, but he has a great sense of humor.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
