My Dear Friends,
Today Catholic Christians celebrate the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, sometimes known as Corpus Christi. In the Gospel passage we have today from St. Mark, we read, “While they were eating, he [Jesus] took bread, said the blessing, broke it, gave it to them, and said, ‘Take it; this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, ‘This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many’” (Mark 14: 22-24). This feast day specifically celebrates the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, which is present in the consecrated elements of bread and wine at each Eucharist (Mass).
Today we also congratulate all of our parish’s graduates, especially those from St. Mary School, and high schools, colleges, and universities. My God bless your life journeys immensely, and may you grow in holiness and wisdom and love all the days of your lives! If you stay close to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, you will be well on your way to a very blessed life.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
– Father Bob
